[ Catra meanwhile, has been here a little longer than Adora. She's dressed in some fashionably-ripped black jeans, a black shirt and a red, faux-leather jacket. Her hair is shorter than when Adora last saw it, but not by that much-- she's had some time here to grow it out. Perhaps the biggest difference is that she's missing her face-plate, so some of her hair falls into her face, and someone has convinced her to wear shoes.
(It never lasts long. But she figures she should at least wear them to the safehouse, which is full of goody-two-shoes types ready to tell her off for deviating from the norm at the slightest notice.) ]

From Adora, who she hasn't heard a kind word from in what feels like years, though? It's different. Her stomach does a weird flip, and she looks away, cheeks pink. ]

[ There's none of her usual swagger behind it, though. At the second question, she only shrugs, awkward. ]
... I'll take 'em off once we get inside. People here make a fuss about the weirdest things.

[ Adora's shove aside the beds in the sleeping area as she did with Riku, opening up room for them to spar. It had been hard to find space in the first place, but if anyone had issues with not being able to take a nao for the next while, they hadn't said anything. ]
Not many people were interested in sparring, so no one should bother us for a while.
[ Catra does indeed kick the offending shoes off the minute they're inside. ]
Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. Most of the people we end up with here are huge wusses. I've seen civilians in Etheria with more backbone than some of 'em.
[ She settles into a ready stance across from Adora, relaxed but also serious. Part of her wonders-- could she beat Adora now, without her She-Ra powers? She always struggled to beat her when they grew up together, but that had been before. Things are different now. She's stronger. ]
I tried offering to teach some kind of survival or training class, and everyone just keeps saying people are fine not knowing how to defend themselves, basically. It's weird.
[ Adora drops her jacket next to Catra's shoes, settling into a wide stance across from her.
Then Adora is moving, launching herself at Catra from the side in an attempt to grapple her. ]
[ Catra has a Vested Interest in mobilizing the Displaced. She's about to say more, but then Adora is lunging for her, and all bets are off.
The lunge is so typical Adora, though, with none of She-Ra's usual strength or reach. Catra has had to up her game since Adora became She-Ra just to keep up, and now Adora feels slow in comparison. Catra sidesteps easily, not even bothering to hit back, just letting Adora's momentum carry her forward. ]
Haha. Wow. You are out of practice. You're even slower than usual. C'mon. Try not being so obvious for change.
