You're so grumpy! [ This clearly has nothing to do with the fact that Catra is stuck lugging a drunk jock around in the middle of the night. ] We can fix that! With scritches.
[ That's all the warning Catra has before Adora is going for her ears with a giggle. ]
[ Why isn't Scorpia here?! Why isn't she big and strong enough like Scorpia to just pick Adora up and throw her over one shoulder like a potato sack and haul her back?! ]
[ Whether it's the clear frustration finally getting through to Adora or the promise for permission to pet her ears, Adora backs off. Instead, she take Catra's hand and lets herself be pulled along that way, still unsteady on her feet but not tipping over, at least. ]
[ Thankfully the reduction of chaotic energy seems to have calmed Adora a little, and she stays true to her word without any further attempts to go for Catra's ear or topple her over.
People always say... it lowers your inhibitions. Like that's a good thing. Personally, I like my inhibitions right where they are. They're there for a reason.
[ Despite herself, despite everything... Catra smiles a little.
She walks over to the bed, tugging the top blanket out from underneath Adora and then laying it over her. It's haphazard, but it works. Then she sits down on the side of the bed beside Adora, her legs still hanging over the side. She has to twist a little to look at Adora. ]
Hmmm... Thank you. [ Her hand creeps along until it finds Catra's again, and this time she doesn't let go. ] Was kinda crazy for a bit there. 'M sorry.
[ Her words still slur, but Catra's presence has managed to drain the manic energy out of her, at least. ]
[ Without letting go of Adora's hand, Catra slides down until she's also lying down on the bed, but unlike Adora, she lies on her side. Curled up slightly. Staring at her with a dumb smile. ]
[ Adora gives a drunken giggle, slowly inching onto her side to face Catra with a smile just as dumb, using her free hand to clumsily tug the blanket over Catra as well. ]
